Not long ago, if you were to walk into an HR office, you likely would have seen desks covered in pieces of paper — resumes piled up in a big stack, leave request forms, printed contracts, and policy manuals that were ages out of date. HR teams were inundated with admin work. After recording leave request forms, employee files, or a policy update, there was simply no time left to focus on people.
